Suspension receiver Aaron Jones, has been suspended definitely his not playing for green bay due to….

For the first time since Nov. 19, Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones will be active today.

Jones, who suffered a knee injury against the Los Angeles Chargers four weeks ago, is active for the Packers’ game against Tampa Bay at Lambeau Field.

That’s the good news.

The bad news is wideout Christian Watson, running back A.J. Dillon, cornerback Jaire Alexander and safety Danell Savage are inactive

Dillon has carried the running back load in recent weeks, but he suffered a broken thumb in last week’s loss to the New York Giants. So the return of Jones is a huge positive for the Packers’ ground game.

“We always have input on what’s going on with our bodies,” Jones said on Friday. “I’ve always wanted to be out there but they’re going to always look out for the best of us.

Aaron Jones Is In For The Packers

That’s the good news.

The bad news is wideout Christian Watson, running back A.J. Dillon, cornerback Jaire Alexander and safety Darnell Savage are inactive.

It’s been a frustrating seventh season for Jones, who has played in only seven games. Jones has rushed for just 245 yards, is averaging a career-low 3.7 yards per carry and has three total touchdowns.

“They’re going to protect us from ourselves, even when we don’t want to be protected. I respect them for that. I think that’s knowing your personnel because you have guys who are opposite and then guys you literally (have to) pull off the field.”

Dillon, who leads the Packers with 574 rushing yards, will miss the first game of his four-year career.

“If I can go, I’m going to go,” Dillon said last week. “I’ve played through some stuff in the past couple years or whatever that, obviously, I’m hurting but I’m good enough to go. I try to be out there if I can. That doesn’t change right now.”

Alexander, the NFL’s highest paid cornerback, will miss his sixth straight game. Alexander has played in just five games this season.

Watson, who has had hamstring issues during his first two seasons, suffered another hamstring injury against Kansas City on Dec. 3. Watson, who has 28 receptions and five touchdowns this season, will miss his fifth game of the year.

“You never really know where you’re at with stuff like this,” Watson said last week. “One day you’ll feel really good and then the next day you won’t feel so good. I’ve had quite a few days now where it’s felt really good, so I definitely feel like I’m in the right place.”

Savage, who is dealing with a shoulder injury, is inactive for the sixth time in Green Bay’s last eight games.
