Drew Gordon died on May 30 in a vehicle accident in Portland, Oregon. He was 33 years old.

Per a report from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, Gordon was driving a three-wheel autocycle that crossed over the center line on a two-lane road and collided with a pickup truck.

Gordon was a standout college player for two seasons at New Mexico from 2010 to 2012. He was named to the All-Mountain West Conference team in both years, including a first-team selection in 2011-12.

After going undrafted in 2012, Gordon spent time in various leagues around the world. He appeared in nine games with the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2014-15 season.

Gordon retired from professional basketball in July 2023.Although the success of a team is often based on the play of its leader or star players, it would be wise to consider the impact of role players.

One such example is Denver Nuggets forward, Aaron Gordon . Traded by the Orlando Magic in March 2021 for a package of Gary Harris , RJ Hampton, and a 2025 first-round pick, Gordon has since established himself as one of the more important players for the eventual champions and a perfect running mate for a future Hall-of-Famer
