The:comment that got Rob Dillingham suspended from the team Today

The Kentucky Wildcats took down the North Carolina Tar Heels in the CBS Sports Classic, which will be huge for the Cats when it comes to postseason seeding.

One of the big reasons Kentucky got the 87-83 win was thanks to the play of freshman guard Rob Dillingham. Dillingham had 17 points leading the Cats in this ball game, and 12 of those 17 points came in the second half.

He is from North Carolina, and the Tar Heels had a large role in his recruitment, but Dillingham eventually decided to make the move to Lexington.

After the game, Dillingham had this to say about whether or not beating UNC was personal, “I mean, a little bit. My dad always wanted me to go to Carolina. I mean, I take every game personal, so I just look at it as another game for us, but I’m happy we got the W.”

Dillingham has really helped his NBA Draft stock early into the 2023-24 campaign.

“However, the last two seasons have been nothing short of a complete disaster for the Cardinals, and it sounds like Thursday’s game against Kentucky could be the final game of coach Kenny Payne’s short lived tenure at Louisville.”
