GREENVILLE − For the third time in 24 days, South Carolina women’s basketball will face off with the Tennessee Lady Vols.

The No. 1 seed Gamecocks (30-0) will face the No. 5 seed Lady Vols (19-11) in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament at Bon Secours Wellness Arena on Saturday (4:30 p.m. ET, ESPNU). South Carolina beat Texas A&M 79-68 to move into the semifinals, while Tennessee took down Alabama. 83-61.

The Gamecocks are 2-0 against the Lady Vols this season, with a 66-55 win in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Feb. 15 and a 76-68 win in Columbia on March 3.

Here’s what you need to know about the matchup.

Despite losing to South Carolina to close out the regular season, Tennessee’s eight-point loss was a sign the Lady Vols were getting better heading into March.

Lady Vols coach Kellie Harper was pleased with her team’s performance in Columbia, when Tennessee pushed the Gamecocks more than any other team did at Colonial Life Arena. It was the only single-digit win South Carolina had at home all season.
