To put it mildly, the Philadelphia Eagles’ season came to an awful conclusion. Although the cause of their 1-4 record in the final weeks of the NFL 2023 season is yet unknown, a rumor from the media suggests that a key squad member unexpectedly passed away.

For much of the season, head coach Nick Sirianni’s Eagles appeared to be almost unbeatable. They had a virtually flawless record of 10-2, and it seemed impossible for anyone to unseat them as the NFC East Division champions and a surefire route to their second straight Super Bowl.

Beyond DiSandro’s possible influence on Sirianni, there was another set of circumstances that could have contributed to the Philadelphia debacle.

Among them, the problems of defensive coordinator Sean Desai, who was moved to a position of less responsibility, and assistant Matt Patricia was in charge of calling defensive plays starting in Week 14.
