Speculation is swirling around San Francisco 49ers’ Brandon Aiyuk and the possibility that the NFC champions could trade the wide receiver this offseason.

Interestingly, the Arizona Cardinals are included in some of the speculation.

Would Aiyuk make sense for the Cardinals?

Would it make sense for the 49ers to trade him to a division rival, if they decided to trade him?

The dynamic wide receiver is coming off a career year for San Francisco, a year in which he had 75 catches for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns in the regular season.

But the 49ers could be up against the salary cap in 2024, and Aiyuk, who will make more than $14 million in the final year of his contract, could be due a lucrative second contract in 2025 (unless the team franchise tags him).
