The Oklahoma Sooners have dealt with their share of injuries in recent weeks. It looks like they’ll have Danny Stutsman back for their matchup with West Virginia, but all of the news is good news.

According to multiple reports from Parker Thune of OUInsider and George Stoia of SoonerScoop, starting offensive tackle Tyler Guyton is inactive for the Sooners.

Guyton has been one of Oklahoma’s best offensive tackles in 2023 and has been a big part of the Sooners’ success in pass protection this season. Per Parker Thune, Jacob Sexton is expected to start at right tackle in his place

Sexton’s played in three game this season, earning 115 snaps. He earned his highest snap count two weeks ago against Kansas. He was effective as a run blocker, showing off physicality and tenacity.

Oklahoma will also be without backup tight end Blake Smith this week, according to Stoia.

We’ll see how the Sooners respond on offense without the presence of Guyton and Smith in this pivotal matchup.
